Quek, keep up your good work! I am sure one day, more and more MCA members would recognize the immense contribution that you have put in.
As you say, the division election is the toughest. I really admire you deciding to go in as independent, taking huge risk doing it.
As you say, it is the process that matters, and I'm sure you gain a lot of experience in the process.

义民算是我的半个同事，也是我的朋友。他在2004年加入马华成为终身学习执行主任时，就认识了他。
印象中的他，在应该认真的时候绝对会以律师的专业口吻与你详谈，在应该吃喝玩乐的时候他简直就是一个年轻的小伙子。工作时认真工作，玩乐时放开胸怀，这是他的长处。
根据我了解，因为马华会时常面对各种回教法(Syariah Law)的问题，因此他在律师楼与终身学习的百忙中，还是抽出时间修读回教法律，这点我佩服他。
也谢谢他多次在《蓝天》里面供稿，与党员分享他的政治知识与心得。我也非常感激他现在必须抽出一些时间，担任新版《蓝天快报》的法律顾问，免得我时常要吃官司，哈哈:)
现在他出来竞选Bukit Bintang的中央代表席位，我为党感到高兴。感谢这位仁兄还愿意死守这个被人称为irrelevant的党，继续为党做事。
我以一个义民朋友的身份，在此呼吁Bukit Bintang区会的区会代表，如果可以的话，把手中一票交给这位诚恳、专业的小伙子，让他成为中央代表的一员，为马华的改革议程做出贡献。
在此也祝其他忠党、爱党、愿意做出无私奉献的党员，可以在这次党选中顺利过关，齐心扛起重振马华的重担。

昨晚我在算票处，亲眼看到菜单的威力。义民不在两边的菜单里，所以两边不是人，只有零零散散的游离票给他，更多的区会代表简直就是跟着菜单跑，完全不理什么候选人的政见大纲，老大给菜单照着填就是了。
在菜单里面的人轻轻松松都会过一百票，不然就很惨。十七个中选的中央代表最低的有126票，义民才得99票，有一段距离。这还算好罗，还有些单打独斗的人才拿30多票。这一再证明，要搞马华地方政治，一定要“埋堆”，一定要挤入菜单，独行路线很难突围。
